Bridgeview Marina, originally named Rena Marina, was
established in the early 1960’s by a local concrete contractor,
Don Stonehouse, in response to encouragement
by long-term Bridgeview member, Logie Allen.
Using his own equipment and local labour, Don dredged
the first channel and built the seawalls. Named after
his daughter, Rena, the name was inscribed on the
concrete at Thompson’s Reef, and can still be seen
from the fuel docks today.

Rena Marina was subsequently purchased by
by Regner Blok-Andersen (deceased) and was
incorporated as Bridgeview Marina in April 1971.
Bridgeview, directed by Managing Partner Dave Brown,
is now the third largest full service marina
in the Great Lakes. Since its beginning, our mission
has been to provide a friendly, family-oriented marina
dedicated to the needs of its members.
We will continue to develop objectives to meet this goal.
